Mustard and Ketchup

These are my newly planted roses that I call “mustard and ketchup.” They have other official bio and fancy poetic names.  I try to keep track of those as I plant them by saving the plastic labels they came with.  In this case, either the kids or the wind took off with those.  The labels may reappear as the kids upheave some toys, or during a winter storm

Between them is a scrap metal piece that my husband hooked up to the fence post.  Sometimes scrap is good art – to me anyway.  Now I am prepping the ground nearby to add my next rose bush whom I will call “mayonnaise.”  20160614_092425
