Wedding Bouquet Painting – A Unique Gift Idea

This bouquet was a table centerpiece for my daughter’s wedding.  Days after the wedding she had set this down on my dining room table one evening.  I had not yet drawn the blinds, and the blue dusk of the night was still visible.  Sitting directly under chandelier’s light, I was
moved by its illumination with the blue dusk in the background.  I took a picture of it, and later used the photo as a reference to create this painting.

The painting is hers to keep of course.  I hadn’t planned on giving her this type of memento from her wedding, but I am glad I was struck to do it.  It makes a nice gift.  If you’re looking for unique gift ideas for a bride and groom, consider hiring an artist who can take a moment or relic from a special moment or event, and paint a poetic or unusual interpretation of it.
